Busy Weekend!

Our weekend was very busy! Friday night Paige had her birthday party at the bowling alley in Ames. It was a little chaotic, but I think everyone had a good time. Imagine 8 girls (ages 4-6) running around and trying to maneuver a bowling ball. The girls did a great job taking turns and I think we only had the staff over 3 times in two hours. Not bad, huh? I was so busy helping them bowl that I really don't have any pictures. I'm hoping the grandparents will share some:) Before we left that evening Paige received a birthday package from her cousin Layla. She was all about the tattoos, hence the picture. Bling is the theme of this pic! She proudly applied them all by herself.

On Saturday (the hottest day of summer so far) we went to Adventureland. Wolfe Clinic treated the employees and their families to a day of fun. The kids had a great time even though the heat index was 105. We were there when the park opened and stayed until 1:30. Cash loved riding the rides with his big sister. Mark and I had a lot of fun watching them pal around. One of Paige's favorite rides is the bumper cars, but only if dad is driving! As soon as Cash and I got in a car he started screaming for his dad also (what is this all about?). Of course Cash's favorite ride was the semis. He would have stayed on the ride all day if we would have let him!

On Sunday Mark, Dean and Garrett picked 156 ears of corn and we froze it for this winter. Yummy! The kids had a lot of fun helping with this project. We kept the mess out of the house by doing it all in the garage (highly recommended). Thanks to Dean, Marcia and Garrett for their help!

Monday came way too fast and it was really hard on EVERYONE getting going!
